The calculator estimates income tax for resident and non-resident individuals under the old and new regimes using rate tables that we record, per financial year, from the Income Tax Department's published rules and the Finance Act. Each rate table names its source and verification date.
It does not cover every provision of the Income-tax Act — for example income taxed at special rates (capital gains, lottery winnings, certain dividends), agricultural income aggregation, HUFs and firms, relief under section 89, foreign tax credit, AMT or clubbing provisions. Rounding follows the statutory rules for the components shown but the final liability on your return may differ. The result is an estimate, not a computation of tax due, and must not be relied on for filing, advance-tax or TDS decisions without professional review.
Due dates are generated from rules we maintain and verify against official notifications, circulars and portal notices, and each date links to its source. The Government frequently extends or changes deadlines at short notice; a date shown here may already have been changed. Where our automated check has detected a possible change it is flagged, but you must confirm the current due date on the relevant official portal (incometax.gov.in, gst.gov.in, mca.gov.in, epfindia.gov.in) before relying on it. PADM India is not responsible for any interest, late fee or penalty arising from reliance on the calendar.
Market figures (gold, silver, USD/INR, NIFTY 50, SENSEX) are retrieved periodically from third-party data providers and shown from our cache with the time they were last updated; they are indicative, may be delayed or unavailable, and are not quotes at which any transaction can be made. Metal prices in rupees per 10 g / kg are derived from international prices and exchange rates and exclude customs duty, GST, making charges and local premiums. Government and tax updates are headlines syndicated from official RSS feeds; read the linked original before acting on it. Nothing on the dashboard is investment advice.
